Have you been watching the Olympics?

If your kids are anything like my students they have been super excited about which country is winning which medal in the Paris 2024 Olympics!

Students from China, Austria, Belgium and Spain have been wanting to talk about the latest triumphs for their country and its' neighbours, so much so that I thought I would make a free Olympics 2024 Activity Booklet to giveaway!

Complete with new vocabulary and Olympic trivia, you can grab this gift by clicking here

If you want to hear the correct pronunciation of sports taught in this activity, head on over to my YouTube channel.

I love special events such as the Olympics for bringing new colour, drama and activity to the classroom; the raising of competition between students is palpable!!

A competitive event like the Olympics lends itself well to teaching, or reiterating subjects like, comparatives (better, slower, faster, stronger, wiser, fitter etc.), superlatives (best, fastest, slowest, weakest, loudest, etc.) as well as learning trivia about the host country. What a colourful event the Olympics is!

Is there a subject you, or your child, would like me to cover in a blogpost? Create a free activity or short video about? I'm always happy to create a bespoke blog post, activity or video for a grammar point, or specific event or activity. After all, if one person is puzzled by something particular, there will certainly be someone else feeling a similar way.

Drop me an email with your request and I'll see what I can do!
